Volunteering in Vermont

Nature wins when you offer your helping hands!

Here at the The Nature Conservancy in Vermont, volunteers provide inspiration as much as they provide their time. Whether you are interested in getting your boots dirty on our trails or organizing data at our office, the days you spend volunteering help protect and enrich the communities in Vermont that we call home.

Opportunities

Join us for a day in the field:
Our stewardship program manages over 50 natural areas throughout Vermont and your help is instrumental in completing the seasonal “to-do” list. Join us for a volunteer workday to remove invasive plants, improve trails, or mark boundaries. All workdays take place from 9:30am until 2:30pm. View the Calendar of Events to find a date to attend.

Help out with a specific project:
Occasionally, staff need help with individual projects which may include photography, event tabling, data entry, literature reviews, and many more tasks in between. Be sure to check back here for opportunities as they arise!

Nature Unites Us

It takes all hands on earth to create a world where both nature and people thrive. To all of our volunteers, past and present: Thank you for helping us steward Vermont's natural treasures!
